The Association of Russian-Speaking Authors of Germany e.V. was founded in Berlin on 24 November 2009. For the first six years the association was led by Rudolf Eremenko (Potsdam) and Boris Samjatin (Berlin). Boris Ratser and Wadim Fadin were among the founding members. Since 2016 the association has been operating in cooperation with, and under the wing of, the International Society for Multimedia Culture and European Communication e.V. The board and secretariat include Dmitri Dragilew, Michael Schleicher, Juliana (Uljana) Obynotschnaja, Daniel Benditski, Elena Blokhina, Alexander Filyuta as well as Alexander Schmidt and Timofey Sattarov.

Already in the early years several events were conceived and successfully held at various venues in Berlin (the House of Russian Culture and Science (HRKW), the children's bookshop "Nimmersatt", the DiGiBet sports park Karlshorst). The contributors included many renowned authors, translators, Slavists and curators: Michail Schischkin, Viktor Ivaniv, Hendrik Jackson, Sergej Gladkich, Wjatscheslaw Kuprijanow, Björn Seidel-Dreffke, Swetlana Mengel, Sergej Birjukow, Elena Madden, Dieter Wirth, Heinrich Kirschbaum, Anatoli Grinwald, Ilse Tschörtner, Daniil Tschkonia, Jewgeni Bunimowitsch, Wera Pawlowa, Waleri Scherstjanoj, Alistair Noon.

Pride of place goes to the "Pushkin Readings" and "Pushkin Jam" (2009-10). Also worth naming are a four-day conference "Contemporary Russian Literature in German-Speaking Europe" with an accompanying festival of Russian poetry on the occasion of the 300th anniversary of M. Lomonosov (November 2011; the conference proceedings were published as a brochure in 2013 by the Slavic Studies seminar of Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg) and the poetry festival "Russian Word" (November 2013).

Since December 2013 several events initiated or co-organised by us have taken place at the Russian Centre in the Villa Steglitz: a panel discussion with film screening on the occasion of the 85th birthday of Chinghiz Aitmatov, with Leonhard Kossuth taking part; a reading with 7 authors, integrated into the exhibition "To Both Sides: Poetry - Fine Arts - Theatre - Music" (the exhibition ran from 25 October to 13 November 2015 and was accompanied by a small catalogue); the Art-Salon "Parabelibre" for a threefold poets' birthday: Nobel laureate Joseph Brodsky would have turned 75, and two other groundbreaking poets were to be specially honoured as well - Boris Poplawski and Alexey Parshchikov, who worked in Cologne until 2009. On this occasion alone we had 50 visitors, a video conference and 11 authors from several European countries on the podium.

Since 2016 we have been running a series of readings and literary events in Berlin, among them several with the well-known Moscow author and publisher Vadim Mesyats and with the eminent Chicago-based poet and professor Ilya Kutik, joined by other authors; the WOSTOK series, in cooperation with AuslandSPRACHEN - a kind of bilingual Russian-concerted literary talk show, the literary competition "The Snow Line", the cycle of interactive conversation and communication "Platform 19" as well as the International Literature Festival

Diriʒabl, the Alexei Parshchikov Literature Festival
